I just want to point out that I chose very particular words to communicate
my point of view, as quoted above. I'm weighing, not dismissing. There are
cogent analogies to be found in all kinds of areas in the FLOSS world: Non
free drivers, non free tools, non free protocols and formats, etc. Plus, I
did note that indications are good regarding other parts of the stack -- a
very important point.

Bitkeeper was "happy happy joy joy" for a while there, remember. :-)
