.au Domain Administration Ltd (auDA - www.auda.org.au<http://www.auda.org.au>), organisers of the 2014 Australian Internet Governance Forum (auIGF<http://www.igf.org.au>), are currently seeking five "ambassadors" to help co-ordinate the event and facilitate discussion on Internet-related policy issues. The application period closes on Wednesday 21 May.

The auIGF brings together stakeholders from industry, government, academia and the not-for-profit sector to help shape the future of the Internet in Australia. We are seeking the Australian community's input to identify Internet-related issues that matter to them and translate these themes into a discussion at the auIGF that will engage and inform industry and political leaders.
Our ambassadors will be people that are willing to commit the time, expertise and effort to propose and develop workshops on topics that relate to both their own area of interest and the broad goals of the auIGF (Melbourne, 26 & 27 August).

Ambassadors will also need to be available to attend the global IGF in Turkey between 2 and 5 September, to contribute the outcomes of domestic discussions to relevant workshops and panel discussions and report back on those sessions.

In 2013, our ambassadors covered a diverse range of topics, including online child protection and empowerment, digital equality, tech start-ups in Australia, privacy and digital intellectual property.
Although this will be an unpaid role, auDA will provide funding to cover the travel and accommodation of ambassadors for both the auIGF and global IGF.

To nominate as an auIGF ambassador, interested parties should send a brief (no more than 1000 words) application to auigf at auda.org.au<mailto:auigf at auda.org.au> before 21 May 2014. Please visit www.igf.org.au/about-igf<http://www.igf.org.au/about-igf> or contact us on the supplied address for more information.
