Sorry I missed the last part of Shaun's email.
The national committee ( currently the vic committee) meets the
last Monday of the month. The AGM will be open to all members and the new
constitution has provision for the meetings to be held electronically so
as not to disadvantage interstate members.
After the AGM there will be a national committee which will oversee the
whole org and each state will have a smaller management committee which
will run it according to nat guidlines.
in the future it is expected that the committee will consist of people
from all over Australia who possibly never meet in purpose.
The thing I might mention is that it was a big step in faith for us to
rent premises. A lot a people were doubtful of our capacity as an org to
run a real operation but we are getting there and proving the doubters
wrong.
We have made a lot of mistakes and will continue to do so but overall it
was a great decision to step out and once we made the committment to a 2
year lease ( 2 members are guarantors ) we have been working hard to fund
and run our operation.
I hope some of you can come here soon and just see what's being done and
maybe take some inspiration from what we're doing and improve on / share
your ideas and experiences with our whole computerbank community.
thanks for letting me rave
