Dear cbsupport team,

I am trying to install wine using apt-get and or synaptics but I am
encountering the following dependency issues.

wine:
Depends: libc6 (>=2.4-1) but 2.3.6-7 is to be installed
Depends: libglib2.0-0 (>=2.12.0) but 2.10.2-1 is to be installed

I don't know how to write an apt-get command that asks for libc62.4-1 or
libglib2.12.0

my /etc/apt/sources.list file looks like the following:

(I am not sure if I should comment out any of the sources)

#COMPUTERBANK Victoria Debian Sources

##Internal Sources
# deb http://omnidimensional/debian/ etch main contrib non-free
# deb http://omnidimensional/debian/ sid main contrib non-free

##External Sources
deb http://ftp.au.debian.org/debian/ sid main contrib non-free
deb http://ftp.au.debian.org/debian/ etch main contrib non-free
deb http://debian-multimedia.org/ etch main
deb http://debian-multimedia.org/ sid main

deb http://security.debian.org/ etch/updates main

deb http://download.skype.com/linux/repos/debian/ stable non-free

I have tried doing ~#apt-get install update and
~#apt-get update
but I get the following message (sorry about the protracted length of the
error message):

W: You may want to run apt-get update to correct these problems

I wonder is it possible to run graphical proprietary applications from wine
or is it mainly for text based editing/administrator sort of thing?

I am planning to try to run proprietary CD (probably graphical in nature)
that accompanies a text book is this a preposterous idea?

thanks
Russell
