Dear cbsupport team,<br><br>I am trying to install wine using apt-get and or synaptics but I am encountering the following dependency issues.<br><br>wine:<br> Depends: libc6 (>=2.4-1) but 2.3.6-7 is to be installed<br>
Depends: libglib2.0-0 (>=2.12.0) but 2.10.2-1 is to be installed
<br><br>I don't know how to write an apt-get command that asks for libc62.4-1 or libglib2.12.0<br><br>my /etc/apt/sources.list file looks like the following:<br>

<br><br>I wonder is it possible to run graphical proprietary applications from wine or is it mainly for text based editing/administrator sort of thing?<br><br>I am planning to try to run proprietary CD (probably graphical in nature) that accompanies a text book is this a preposterous idea?

if u want to go the open-source route, 'Wine' is a notable mention for a windows emulator as it apparently doesn't actually need windows system files to run, there is a more streamlined version of this called 'cross-over office' which is more user-friendly and (as its name suggests) written to run specific applications. if u want accurate imitation from what i know you can use applications which will do straight-up emulation, for more info check this page out:

Dear computerbank discussion,<br><br>I wonder if anyone knows any good Windows emulators to use in the event that there was no alternative but to run a Windows executable file? <br>I am currently in such a predicament, and such a file and other associated files are being read off a CD.
