It may appear that way, but I don't think it's a totally fair
characterisation. I personally know full well that I stepped into an
organisation of enthusiastic people who have achieved amazing things
and built up a legacy of success that is hard to live up to.

You do have a point though that often we see the results of the
efforts of people that have gone before without being aware of the
specific individuals involved. People who have put in their time and
effort for the collective benefit of our community deserve our
recognition and thanks.

We have a "thanks" page on the site but it's woefully incomplete. If
it listed all the people who have given their time to make LA what it
is today it would be a *big* list, so let's get started: if you have a
suggestion for someone to add to that page please send it to
web-team@linux.org.au. Personally I think we could start by adding all
past committee members as well as the core organisers from every
previous LCA team.
