[Grants] Australian Internet Community Planning - Proposal for Linux Australia support

Linux Australia President president at linux.org.au

Hi everyone,

This Grant Request was considered at last night's Council meeting. There
were several reasons for and against this Grant Request discussed,
including alignment with Linux Australia vision and mission, and the
inflection point that is now present in the state of Australia's
internet governance, and the cost of the Grant. In general though, the
Council was in favour of supporting additional representation at this
forum, given its likely important to future internet infrastructure and
policy decision making.

Grant is approved, and a report is requested after the event.

NEXT ACTION: Kathy to work with Lyndsey to arrange transfer of funds

Kind regards, Kathy
