Hello PyCon AU!
I’m excited to share that our call for specialist tracks is now open!
Specialist Tracks
Organising a specialist track is a fantastic way to leave your fingerprint on the conference, curating the talks you want to see on a topic or theme that you care a lot about.
To learn more about organising a specialist track, we’ve published an organisers companion guide. It’s the same old specialist track format, but with new flexibility and detail for 2026.
Learn more at https://2026.pycon.org.au/specialist-tracks and submit your specialist track proposal by 11:59pm AEDT 23 January 2026.
We’d love to hear from you if you have questions, or early concepts. Either join our office hours on 16 December and 15 January, or email program at pycon.org.au.
Conference Roadmap
We also recently published a conference roadmap at https://2026.pycon.org.au/posts/2026-conference-roadmap. It outlines our plans and aspirational timeline for the months ahead. Whats that... CFP in early 2026!?
Early Bird Tickets!
Last up, the first release of early bird tickets are selling fast and will soon be sold out. Don’t miss out on securing the cheapest price on offer! More details at https://2026.pycon.org.au/tickets/.
Have a happy, safe and talk-ideating holiday season everyone!
Cheers,
Jack Skinner
