The Linux Australia Council considered this at tonight's meeting. The
general consensus based on observations to date was that the demand for this
is low. There was certainly a reluctance among Council members to take on
the responsibility of running a generic wiki due to the maintenance
requirements.
If affiliated groups have a need for a wiki, many hosting providers
streamline the deployment of wikis alongside other services at no additional
charge. If cost is an issue or there is no existing relationship with a
hosting provider, Linux Australia can provide a VM host to associated groups
free of charge if they want to run their own wiki (or any other
infrastructure such as a website).
In light of this, there does not appear to be a need for Linux Australia to
host a single wiki instance for multiple LUGs.

The LUV wiki can be run in whatever way the maintainers see fit. LA does
not dictate how groups might run their own infrastructure. If you wish to
generalise the LUV wiki for others then that is fine.
