[Linux-aus] About luv-announce: When is a mailing list "the same" or "different"?

Yes, while the new LUV channel is not a mailing list in the
traditional sense (where subscribers can usually post to the
list), it is (as Brian points out) intended as a replacement
only for luv-announce, which was only ever a one-way
announcement channel anyway.  Sorry if I was a bit sloppy with
the term "mailing list".

Anyway, even though this in on a different thread, I think it's
close enough in topic that we should respect Joel Addison's
request (as LA President) to let it rest for now.

We should remember always to be kind first.  Volunteers are
giving a lot of their time (and life) for LUV, and for LA and
FOSS more generally.  If mistakes are made, it's almost always
from inexperience, or overload, or lack of support.  I know this
from my own experience.  Keep that in mind; also the many
positive things done that often are taken for granted.
