I raised the issue, was asked if I would volunteer to do it, stated that I'd
be happy to do it, then waited almost two months. Yes it was a demanding
message, but this is something that reasonably could have been resolved more
than a month ago.

Sure requests have to be evaluated etc, but a Wiki has been a fairly standard
LCA feature. The fact that not many people are asking for it doesn't mean
that they won't use it if it's there.

In the past the LCA Wiki has been used for arranging BoFs (something I want to
do ASAP), sharing information about travel and accommodation (a bit late for
that probably), and for arranging various other meetings.

There's also nothing stopping us from using a Wikia community.

While Lemmy doesn't quite do what a wiki does we could just use a Lemmy
community like this one. Promoting open services like Lemmy (the ActivityPub
based protocol as well as the software that implements it - not any particular
instanve) is something that I think is within the scope of EO.

I plan to run a BoF about Lemmy focussed on using it. I have never run a
Lemmy node and don't have any immediate plans to. If someone with Lemmy
sysadmin experience wants to help with that it would be great!

Fortunately in this case it's something that only needs to run for a short
time.

Also I've been running the LUV wiki since VPAC shut down and the free hosting
they provided ended which was in 2015 I think. The Wiki hasn't been used much
but I kept it running and upgraded it to the latest versions of all the
relevant software so it has security support.

Sure. One good option with such things is to say "we don't plan an official
one but anyone can set one up and share the URL".
