A reasonable power supply?  You can find good, quiet ATX power supplies 
relatively easily...

I went with a USB twin-channel DVB-T receiver (a Hauppauge Nova-T) for my 
MythTV machine ages ago and that works very well. Loads with existing kernel 
drivers.
