I've setup a test installation of Matrix for LUV and the Linux community in 
Australia.  At the moment I'm not committing to making it an ongoing LUV 
service, but it seems likely that we will do that.  Email me off-list if you 
would like a Matrix account on luv.asn.au.  The "Element (Riot)" client for 
Android works well as does quaternion in Debian (which incidentally doesn't 
support A/V).
