[Linux-aus] Nomination for Council Member / Treasurer

Yes, that's me!

While I have the floor :) let me say that I truly believe in passionate people advocating the technology they love and the benefits it can bring home and business alike.

One thing I do not want to see is an organisation suffer apathy and lack of involvement.

I would hope my presence in this election - even if previously not vocal on this list - inspires people to nominate, to stand, and importantly to vote. Whether people vote for me or vote against me - believing others more capable - then democracy and the organisation are both well-served.

It's a truism that only a small percent of the membership of community organisations are engaged. I would like to see a different story for Linux Australia.
