[Linux-aus] Request to form a new and on-going sub-committee for BarCampMelbourne

Hi Ben,

To be honest I'm not entirely sure where we landed with that. I believe
you still have access to everything based off the previous barcamp that
was ran. It seems like this item got lost in the transition of a new
council so I must apologise for that.

We'll discuss it on Thursday night which will be our first teleconf for
the new council. (Kathy, could you please add it to the agenda).

My feeling is that this is a bit of a no-brainer and we'd be happy to
support it. However I'm not sure if we would want it supported as an
on-going committee. For example, not even LCA is an ongoing committee as
the members are new every year. Personally I'd prefer to just have a
simple email each year saying "this is the new team" and we can go from
there.

Your thoughts?

Once again I apologise for the confusion. The tweet is (as far as I
know) slightly incorrect as we are not 'sponsoring' the barcamp. It is
more that barcamp is a Linux Australia ran event and that we are
supporting it.

Cheers,
Josh
