[Linux-aus] LCA2014 - Next steps to get it done?

Yes, so at this stage I should probably mention that here in Western
Australia we've been quietly working away on a bid for Perth, and one
thing we've looked at as part of this is PCOs, the rough figure is
somewhere between $50,000 - $ 80,000. However we are meeting with a
smaller PCO this week to discuss the costing given that large parts of
LCA are already worked out, as previous commentators have pointed out.
A number of the PCOs we received pricing from are national so we'd be
happy to shoot the entire bid documents to anyone else looking at
putting forward a bid for LCA.

The largest hurdle we have found in our work to put together a bid is
finding a venue. Universities are not letting us make any plans until
at best earliest January next year, at worst December next year.

Kind Regards
Luke John
