Hello all,

PLUG (in Perth) is holding its monthly tech presentation tomorrow,
Tuesday 11th October from 6:30pm AWST; this month our guest is *Rusty
Russell*, who will be giving a talk entitled "Coding: Lets have fun".
After a short intermission, we'll then be holding a light hearted panel
discussion on /The State and Future of Linux & Open Source in Australia/
with Rusty, and guests Dr Chris McDonald from UWA Computer Science, and
Assistant Professor Robert Cunningham from UWA Law School who
specialises in Open Source licensing... and of course, our audience.
Which is where you come in at home... PLUG has been live video streaming
its tech presentations for around 6 months now, with our online audience
members participating via IRC (#plug on Gimpnet).

Our Icecast server at http://icecast.plug.org.au:8000/ should have the
video feeds appear from around 6pm AWST. That's 9pm NSW/Vic/Tas, 8:30pm
SA, 8pm Qld, and 7pm NT. Hang out in the PLUG channel for more details
at the time -- someone will hopefully be monitoring IRC for questions to
relay to the room. ;)
