I am the US currently and received an email from Sam - who had read
Brendan's blog post announcing we had accepted his proposal - asking
for my comment. I replied assuming it had become public knowledge.

There was no intent to give Sam any "exclusive" nor any embargo nor
any attempt to hide anything from the community. The matter was
simply one of timing.
I will be on planes for the next two days so I apologise that
