Education.au is inviting peak bodies across the education
and training sectors to provide a submission that will be
used to inform the content of a report on emerging
technologies and their implications for the education and
training community.

This report has been commissioned by the Department of Education,
Employment & Workplace Relations (DEEWR).. This document provides
the context and discussion questions related to the invitation for
submissions ..


2.1 Questions


2.1.1 Theme 1

Implications of continuously emerging technologies for learning/learners

•  What will learning look like in a student-centred demand driven model?
•  What will learning environments look like?
•  What are the implications for curriculum and assessment?


2.1.2 Theme 2

Implications of continuously emerging technologies for professional
learning and educators

•  What are the most appropriate professional learning models?
•  How can policy makers and educational institutions best support
  educators to meet the challenges of new technologies?


2.1.3 Theme 3

Implications of continuously emerging technologies for infrastructure
including physical infrastructure, standards and guidelines

•  How can policy and programs best be developed to provide supporting
  infrastructure for the education and training community?



Please include the cover sheet provided with your submission. The cover
sheet can be downloaded from

Closing date for submissions is COB Friday April 10, 2009
Submissions should be in PDF or Word format and emailed to
amcallister at educationau.edu.au  (no more than ten pages)
