Hi all,

I wanted to let everyone know that the OSWA Symposium last month was great.
It was an event really focused on CIOs in Government and large corporates,
and they got some excellent attendence for the event.

I've written a short wrap up about the event here:

  http://pipka.org/blog/2007/11/05/open-source-wa-symposium-wrap-up/

Please let everyone that _uses_ Open Source in business, Government and
education know about the survey they are currently undertaking. It is a
direct replication of the AGIMO Open Source survey done earlier this year,
so it will be a) great to have an understanding of the usage of FOSS in WA,
b) good to have something to compare against once AGIMO release their
findings, and c) great to encourage AGIMO to release their findings :)

http://www.opensource.wa.gov.au/ and click through to the survey

The OSWA user survey is not perfect, but it could not be changed as it had
to remain as true as possible to the AGIMO survey for maximum comparability
down the track.

Cheers,
Pia
