developer in Australia, can, and, is probably likely to, be sued by some
USA company who will likely patent, or have patented every possible
algorithm, so that anyone who comes up with an algorithm, or, computer
programming code, will likely be sued by some malevolent USA company
that has resources enough to buy and sell this country for breakfast.

And, the USA coporations have the resources to destroy Australian
companies, just for the hell of it, by tying them up in litigation that
Australian companies have nowhere near the resources to fight, given
that they would be fighting corporations that could buy and sell this
country for breakfast.

Basically, it appears to be consistent with Howard's policy of selling
Australia to the USA, and tough bikkies for anyone who lives or works in
Australia.

A three year "research project" into IP in Australia, sounds to me like
the proverb "if you want to prevent something from happening, form a
committee to deal with it" - to avoid protecting IP in Australia, start
a "research project", so that it can be buried in an unmarked grave.

I have no confidence in the process, and see it as an abuse of process.

If the feral government was sincere about investigating the issue of
intelllectual property in Australia, it would not have taken any action
to change the status of intellectual property in Australia, before the
final outcome of an investigation. AND, the feral government would not
charge ludicrous fees to prohibit people from having a say in the issue.

It is like the military forces in Iraq - a mercenary force.

Thus, I say that it would be a waste of the time and money of Linux
Australia, to bnecome involved in the circus that is likely nothing more
than a show to entertain.

It is like the "Water Forums" held here in WA, for the people of WA to
have had a say in the way that water resources were to be managed, and,
on the night after the first "water forum" held in WA, which was held in
Aramadale, the state premier went on television, and basically said that
the state government did not care what came out of the water forums -
the state government had already made up its mind as to what it was
going to do, and what it was not goig to do, and the "water forums" were
just a massive public relations exercise, and a means to waste public
money, to fool the public into thinking that they had a say in what
happens in this state. And, the state government is still unable to
properly manage the water resources in this state, as it is similarly
unable to manage other state utilities, like the electricity supply,
which is at a third-world level of reliability.

So, I say that the "research project", relating to intellectual
property, is similarly, a waste of time and effort, as the feral
government has already sold Australia out on the issue, in its sinister
dealings with the USA. It is just a question of how soon the feral
government declares that Bill Gates owns Linux and all other software in
this country.

I think and suggest that Linux Australia can find better uses for its
funds, than funding a feral government sideshow that will have no
benefit for either the Linux community or the people of Australia.
Especially when the intent of the feral government, is to sabotage the
IT industry in Australia, with the feral government selling off the IP
rights of Australia, to the USA. But then, that is the policy of the
feral government - fear and destruction, like it did to that foreign
country that it invaded and took over, in collusion with the USA.

Maybe one day, the Australian people will be represented in the federal
parliament. (And, one day, maybe, the people of WA will be represented
in the WA state parliament.)
