Hi LA,

There's a one-day Linux conference coming up in Melbourne in just a few
weeks. There are only a few days left until Early Bird rego ends so if
you want to come along you should do something about it right now:

http://www.thinkinglinux.com.au/ThinkingLinux/

It will have both business and technical tracks and looks pretty
interesting. From the site:

"ThinkingLinux is a one day conference that will show you how Linux and
other open source software can benefit your organisation."

Tuesday 17 October, 2006
8:00am - 5:30pm,
Langham Hotel, Melbourne
1 Southgate Ave
Southbank VIC 3006

Tridge will be talking about Samba, Craig Wiley will be talking about
Xen (LUV members may remember Craig and Andreas Girardet from Novell
doing a talk a few months ago), I've heard a rumour that LA's John
Ferlito will be talking about FOSS in the data center, and AFAIK Jeff
and Pia will be coming along too. Should be a bit of fun so check out
the site.

Cheers :-)
