[Linux-aus] Pressing/Printing CD's in bulk?

Does anyone have any recent experience in pressing and printing bulk
quantities of CD's?

At CeBIT 20006 Linux Australia passed out significant numbers of Linux
distribution CD's that had been donated to us for the purpose.

We'd like to broaden the scope of the material available to us to pass out
at public events such as exhibitions and tradeshows. In many cases this will
require us to press and print our own CD's, and possibly at our own expense.

We'd like to understand what the potential costs to us might be in
undertaking this kind of endeavour and are hoping that some of you in the
community might be able to provide us with some indicative pricing.

If you've recently had CD's pressed and printed (preferably colour) in
quantities of 1000 or more we'd like to hear your experiences and
recommendations.

At the very least we're interested in paper-jacketed CD's, but if you can
give us some indicative pricing for jewel cases or the like we'd like to
hear that too.

Armed with some leads and a heads-up we'll consider what action to take for
Linux Australia but potentially for the usergroup community too for future
public events of this sort.

Thank you in anticipation.

regards
Terry
