[Linux-aus] CeBIT volunteers
Hi all,
we are having a Linux Australia community stand at CeBIT in the same vein as
what we had at Linuxworld recently. CeBIT (http://www.cebit.com.au/) is from
the 9-11 May and we need some community people to help out with illuminating
the masses about Free Software and why it is important :) I already have a
few people who have contacted me to help out so thanks to those people, and
anyone else who would like to help out, please drop me an email. I'll send
out the details and schedule once I have some numbers confirmed.
It'll be a fun conference, we aim to show off some cool FOSS on tasty
hardware, and we have some information about FOSS and the community to hand
out which will be useful to people. I've found that we've had new people
come to SLUG from the last CeBIT and from the recent Linuxworld, so it is a
good chance to reach out and extend our community.
If you can only do a few hours, or a few days, let me know. I'd love to hire
a penguin suit so I'm particularly keen for anyone wanting to act the
penguin for a few hours here or there to put their hand up.
Many thanks to all, and I hope to see you all at CeBIT, with the first ever
FOSS section there!
Cheers,
Pia
