I know there have been various actions against the SCO Linux license by
various individuals and groups (eg, Open-Source Victoria's complaint to the
ACCC) but I was wondering if there was any concerted nation-wide effort to
rid Australia[1] of the SCO's Linux License?

If there already exists such an effort, I'd like to help out. If not, I think
one should be started. I'm posting here (as opposed to my local LUG) since
it seems to me to be an issue of national scope, and this seemed like the
best place. Please let me know if this should be directed elsewhere.

It is my firm belief that the effort against SCO needs to be active and not
just reactive. In short, I want the situation to be similar here as it is in
Germany. Ideally, I would like to have the situation where SCO are forced to
publicly withdraw the offer of a Linux License in Australia (and also
withdraw litigation threats here).

Cheers,

Rasjid.

[1] I would of course like to see the whole Linux world free of any threat
from SCO. But for the time being Australia seems like a good place to start,
since I live and work here. :-)
