Ah, well. To put things in context, Sun have donated a couple of Ultra 1's
as well (for Solaris builds). Initially, I was after something heftier, but
I can understand a low-end donation initially. :-) Man, having looked at the
machine specs, I would *love* a dual 220R with craploads of RAM for this.
Whoa. Yummy. [1] ;-)

Once everything is working, these machines will be doing 24*7 builds from
CVS. That's a fair whack of storage (Stephen's offer of the storage array
will help greatly with that), and a huge stress on low-end CPUs.

So, yes, heftier machines would definitely help, but it seems appropriate to
start cheap at the beginning of the project. Additionally, given that this
is a first for LA, a cheap test case is a good idea. I feel hopeless enough
asking for help anyway!

[1] I will most likely be able to use machines at Sun's iForce technology
