Can people PLEASE stop the multi-cross-posting?

It is highly unprofessional, and appears to be really bodgy, apart from
the multiple copies of messages received, and the resultant wasted
bandwidth.

It is banned on many properly-run lists, due to the wasted bandwidth,
and the wonky headers that result (eg, To: discussion at slpwa, Reply To:
linux-aus).

And, the cumulative effect of list administrators not setting the Reply
To address to the list, leads to increasing numbers of copies being
distributed, and, can lead to all active people on a list, being in the
To or CC addresses, and thence receiving the list copy and the copy
addressed to them, and a copy from each list included in the
multi-cross-posting botch-up.

It is no wonder that victims are receiving multiple copies of messages,
when the posters of the messages are sending the messages in
ever-increasing circles.

Are the organisations all one and the same, with confused members?

Or, is it just that posters don't know how to use their email
applications?

It makes me wonder...
