Hi Paul,
At SCEGGS Darlinghurst we use Sophos - if you buy the enterprise(?) version it allows the scanning of e-mail (qmail has a hook that can call the Sophos sweep program). We also use Sophos on our Linux, Novell and NT servers as well as all our desktops.
The association of independent schools in NSW has negotiated an agreement with Sophos that provides the product at a very attractive price. I know it's not free, but the product works very well across all the platforms we have on site.
Happy new year.
Ian

Hi Folks,
I hope you're all having a good holiday break.
Our college is looking to upgrade their virus software. We are currently
using an old, free version of Innoculate which is not very well
supported and is slow on the signature updates. Which virus software
would you recommend for a Linux mail server (running
sendmail/amavisd-milter for scanning) which supports Windows and Mac
clients?
Thanks,
Paul
