Well, it's good news all around from the linux.conf.au team:

	* We got our domain back! The official (and permanent) site for
	  the conference is still http://www.linux.org.au/conf, but you
	  no longer have to kick yourself and curse the organisers when
	  you type in http://linux.conf.au/.

	* Online registrations are up! We can accept Visa, Mastercard, and
	  Bankcard. If you choose to use this service, your credit card
	  details are securely validated via CommSecure and the only
	  information passed on to Linux Australia is whether your
	  credit card was successfully debited or not. See the "online
	  registration" link from the registrations page.

	* The early-bird registration and group bookings deadline has been
	  extended! For those of you who've been too busy hacking over
	  the Christmas New Year break to remember to register, the
	  December deadline's been moved back a week, until Sunday the
	  6th. So if you've been putting off registering, there ain't
	  no better time than now!

Actually's there's one bit of bad news: it's not actually the new
year yet.  We're working on that though, and expect to have it solved
any day now. Really.
