What could make a better Christmas present for your loved one than
tickets to linux.conf.au in February?

A list of confirmed speakers is available on the conference website;
highlights include Andrew Tridgell, Rasmus Lerdorf, Rusty Russell,
Alan Modra, and Rasterman (AKA Carsten Haitzler).  The cast list
should encourage you all to register (that's our fervent hope, at any
rate).

That said, a few quick notes about conference registrations are in
order:

 * The earlybird discount (and a 10% group discount on top of that!)
   applies to registrations received before December 31st.  That's
   only ten days away.

 * Further to that, we now accept credit card[1] registrations by fax.
   Send your completed form to the organisers, care of Plugged In
   Software (fax number:  +61 7 3876 4899).  If you want to fax us a
   cheque or money order, you'll have to convince our bank.

 * Unfortunately we are still unable to process online registrations.
   This is a regrettable state of affairs, but we hope to have
   everything working by mid-February.
