Aligent is looking for a Systems Administrator / DevOps specialist to join  
our growing team.  The role could be full time or part time depending on the  
applicant.  The successful applicant would be involved with both internal and  
client facing tasks across the full systems life cycle.  You could be fixing  
a developer workstation one day, and building an Autoscale AWS cluster the  
next.  We're a primarily CentOS based shop, so experience with the  
peculiarities of this distribution would be highly regarded.

Required Skills and Knowledge

* Linux command line system administration.  You should be comfortable  
installing packages, configuring services, managing tarballs, etc from a bash  
(or your preferred shell) prompt.
* LAMP Server Administration - You should be able to configure and harden  
LAMP/LEMP stack including TLS, and have a solid understanding of all of the  
components involved.
* Good understanding of "basic" AWS services such as EC2, S3, CloudFront.
* Familiar with Red Hat distros - Know how "Red Hat" based distros (such as  
CentOS, RHEL, Amazon Linux, Fedora) differ from others (e.g. Ubuntu), and be  
comfortable working with/finding things on a Red Hat based platform.
* Basic hardware fault finding and troubleshooting.
* Able to work independently

Bonus points for

* Comfortable with git
* Experience with "advanced" AWS services such as CloudFormation, IAM, ELB,  
VPC or CodeDeploy.
* Experience with Chef or similar configuration management tools.
* Experience with Linux virtualisation, KVM/QEMU, Docker, VirtualBox
* Knowledge of FreeIPA or similar.
* Knowledge of Kickstart and related Red Hat installation and management  
technologies such as Spacewalk.
* Experience with Vagrant, and other "developer focused" tools.
* Familiarity with formal security standards such as PCI DSS, and the  
requirements they impose.
* Understanding of networking, switching, routing, VLANs, etc.
* Worked with FreePBX
* Systems Administration experience with Mac OSX
