Hi Nadia
I suspect that at least one of these messages may be the result of a
problem that has no apparent connection with k3b.
We have had systems fill their hard drives with log messages for no
obvious reason.
To check this, do the following.
login as root
check remaining space with the 'df' command. If 'Use' is around 100%,
you need to delete some log files.
change directory to /var/log and run 'ls -l |less'
delete (rm) any large files (over 10M). Files to look at are 'messages',
'syslog', 'kern.log' and 'daemon.log'
reboot
If this doesn't fix the problem, contact us again.
NOTE: If you have upgraded k3b, the new version does not have the
'k3bsetup' program that's referred to by the menu.
Setup is in the main program: Settings > Configure k3b
Because we have modified the menus, pointers to deleted programs are not
removed automatically.
Also, to reduce disc space usage, we delete information that isn't
relevant to our locale.
In particular, we don't keep British and US English data (en_GB and
en_US).
If your locale is not en_AU, that may cause the 'locale charset'
message.
