Hi All,
I just wanted to bring your attention towards an event that Linux
Australia is supporting. The dates are rather soon so I encourage you
all to take a look.
The Australian Internet Governance Forum is Australia’s premier event
for the open and inclusive discussion of a wide range of
Internet-related policy issues. It is based on a global model originally
established by the United Nations.
It will be held at the Park Hyatt, Melbourne, on 16-17 October.
The auIGF brings government, industry and community members together in
an apolitical, multi-stakeholder environment, to exchange ideas and best
practices, and help shape the future of the Internet in Australia.
Further information is available at www.igf.org.au
Recognising Linux Australia’s support for the forum, event organisers
will waive the usual registration fee for members.
To register, simply send an email to auigf at auda.org.au, noting that you
are a Linux Australia member.
Cheers,
Josh
