Hi Andrew,

My best tip is to include a slide near the beginning which is basically a
"deep breathe" slide. If you're not careful, the anxiety of presenting
(which I experience every time) will cause you to rush and/or ramble.
Include a slide near the beginning, which you know backwards, and which you
can just leave up an talk to for a decent chunk of time, say 20-40 seconds.
Introduce yourself, or the topic, or go into some detail on something. Let
yourself relax into the detail of that slide, talk about it, then move on
comfortably after settling into speaking.
