[Linux-aus] BigPond Email - Requires Windows Live Essentials

Bigpond emails change to Windows Live.

Any issues - cosmetic or serious, for Apple and Linux users who may
still depend upon BigPond services, with emailed accounts to BigPond
email addresses ?

Will this also effect other Telstra/Bigpond email services ?

Has Microsoft complied with EEC requirements for communications to be
OS neutral ?

Paul.
