The Geoscience Solution Architect is responsible for the design, development,  
implementation and support of the technology solutions and mapping the  
business requirements to systems/technical requirements to ensure they are in  
line with the enterprise architectural plan.

Based at the Maitland High Street office (40 min drive from Newcastle), this  
role will be critical to the delivery of any future systems for the  
Geological Survey of NSW. The successful candidate will be required to work  
closely with business owners and key stakeholders, to understand how modern  
ICT and spatial technologies can be utilised to deliver geoscientific  
information to end-users.

Essential requirements:

• Tertiary qualifications in an ICT discipline.
• Demonstrated knowledge and experience in programming languages eg. PHP,  
Python, Javascript and modern Javascript libraries.
• Knowledge of spatial technologies such as Esri GIS, FME, GeoServer and  
GeoNetwork.
• Demonstrated knowledge of software development life cycles, applications  
development methodologies, business analysis, project management, system and  
data relationships and service delivery models.
