Senior Ruby / PHP / SQL Developer (Full Time)

Micron21 is an outer-eastern Melbourne highly redundant Data Centre based in  
Kilsyth that specializes in server co location, virtualization,  
enterprise-grade webhosting, DDoS mitigation and custom IT services.

We currently require a Ruby on Rails / PHP / SQL expert developer with a  
background in systems integration and developing secure customer portals and  
applications.

The main focus of this role is for the successful candidate to develop key  
internal systems and integrate existing internal systems into a central  
access portal and also work on our customer’s development requests.

Not only will you learn what it is like to run a datacentre, support other IT  
professionals and operate one of the most mission critical networks in  
Australia. You will also be surrounded by passionate people who are already

You WILL need to have:

     A vast and comprehensive experience in PHP, MySQL / MariaDB Galera  
Cluster and Ruby on Rails
     Wizard like coding ability
     Genuine and keen interest in cutting edge service provider technology
     Passionate about expanding your skills and becoming one of the best in  
the field
     Ability to maintain and foster business relationships both internal and  
external
     Exceptional written and verbal English
     PHP proficiency with Object Oriented programming, best code practices  
including modularized code where applicable
     Experience with SOAP, JSON, RESTful APIs, SNMP, cURL
     Proficiency in client-side Javascript with server-side Javascript desired
     Proficiency in HTML 5 and current best web practices
     Proficiency with Asterisk
     An understanding of how the internet works (TCP/IP, DNS, IP Addressing)
     Ability to learn on your feet with an existing grasp of the technical  
concepts related to being a support staff member at a Service Provider.
     Corporate personal presentation
     Ability to write complex MySQL / Percona / MariaDB queries along with  
database design skills
     API Integration Experience
