[LA-Jobs] Linux Systems Engineer (Hosting background) in NSW Central Coast or Sydney CBD

We are looking for a Linux Systems Engineer with a Hosting background
located in the NSW Central Coast area or the Sydney CBD

 

The job: Working as part of the technical operations team building,
managing and supporting mission critical server and network
infrastructure for a large volume of customers. Proactively managing and
monitoring systems to pre-empt and mitigate failure and delivering high
uptime. Being attentive and responsive to customer enquiries and support
requests.

 

The skills and experience required: You will be an experienced Linux
Systems Engineer with experience in web hosting technologies and service
provision. 

 

Other characteristics include;

* Linux System Administration - RHCE Certified with a high level of
experience in Apache, MySQL, PHP, System Administration, Firewall
Management, NFS Configuration.

* Web hosting platform technologies - Linux, Apache, MySQL, PHP, Open
Source Applications, Windows IIS, DNS, Email, Spam, TCP/IP etc

* Hardware Experience

* Networking in hosted environment - IP Routing, VPN, SSL, load
balancing, NAS Storage & data replication

* VMware experience is required and VMware VCP certification would be
advantageous

 

You will need to be self-driven and enjoy providing a high level of
service to clients in a fast paced environment.

 

Remuneration will be determined based on the candidates experience.
