High profile internet engineering ... Experienced Perl Programmer required with Linux.

In this exciting role your key responsibilities will be to develop new customer facing systems, enhance existing systems as well as automating existing manual systems. You will also be involved with improving reporting and monitoring systems. 

In order to be successful for this position you will need to have extensive Perl programming experience, preferably within an ISP and /or a significant data centre in a Linux environment. Your Linux skills should be of administration level. 

Essential Knowledge and Experience Required: 

-Perl programming - Highly competent 
-Internet protocols and services - advanced understanding 
-Linux - Highly competent 
-Database Knowledge 
-Mail 
-Radius 
-DNS 

Desirable experience 

Knowledge of ISP environment and processes 
An appropriate tertiary qualification or relevant experience 
Involvement in Open Source/Linux projects.
