BigWorld Pty Ltd develops an award winning technology suite for creating Massively Multiplayer Online Games, and we are seeking an enthusiastic IT person with a strong technical mind and programming skills to help administer our internal network.  In this varied role you will assist in maintaining and improving our small Linux and Windows mixed network used by our developers, and providing them with support with their software and hardware issues.<br>

<b>Responsibilities:</b>

You will need to be able to build and set up PCs, install hardware and software, administer aspects of a network including firewalls, SSL and ftp, email, backup and recovery processes and web connectivity.<br>
As a member of a tight knit team of world-class software developers, you will also help set up and test machines for tradeshows where we showcase our BigWorld Technology, as well as a Linux based server cluster for larger scale internal testing.<br>

<b>Requirements:</b>

<li>Minimum 4 years administering  Linux / Windows networks.
<li>System services: LDAP, Samba, NFS, DHCP
<li>Other services: Apache, mail, ftp, CVS, SVN, Bugzilla, Bonsai, Wiki
<li>Assembly and maintenance of PCs
<li>Programming/Scripting skills: Python, Perl, PHP, Awk, Shell, C, C++
<li>Application support: MS Office, Thunderbird, Firefox
<li>Ability to troubleshoot and solve all day to day issues associated with the Network, Internet Link, PCs, Printers and Phones
<li>Strong communication skills and a strong team player
<li>Excellent time management and an ability to deliver on deadlines with multiple tasks
<li>Must be self-motivated and able to work successfully without direct supervision
