Senior Networking Engineer, Full Time

Senior Network Support Engineer

URSYS is seeking motivated, customer focused, individuals to join our team as senior network support engineers in Burwood, NSW.  As a senior network support engineer, you would be responsible for network design, project implementation and ongoing maintenance and support for existing customers.  As part of your duties, you would be required to communicate with remote customers to diagnose and remedy issues and document procedures for other members of staff.The successful applicants will possess all of the following:

* Competence in shell scripting or Perl programming.
* Solid understanding of TCP/IP & Ethernet.
* Strong troubleshooting skills with Ethernet, TCP/IP, IPSEC, OpenVPN, Voice over IP & firewalls.
* Strong troubleshooting skills with at least two of ISDN, frame relay, satellite, DSL, dial-up modem or 802.11 wireless.
* Strong understanding of e-mail and HTTP.
* Competence in performing network packet analysis.
* Excellent customer management skills.
* Excellent communication skills.
* Excellent Time Management skills.
* In-depth understanding of the GNU/Linux Operating System.

Knowledge or Experience in the following may be considered favourably:
* Linux Policy Routing
* Network Intrusion Detection Systems
* Cryptography - Shared and Private Key
