Systems Administrator (Solaris, Full Time

<p>Our company is looking for a Solaris/Linux systems administrator.</p>

<p>The ideal candidate:</p>

<ul>
<li>will have proven experience with Solaris 10 / OpenSolaris.</li>
<li>will have in-depth knowledge of IP networking, including routing, firewalling, VPNs, and traffic encryption.</li>
<li>has used GNU/Linux extensively. Although this is not the main focus of the position, part of our systems are deployed in GNU/Linux. We stress that no experience with a particular distro is required, but instead, an overall understanding of how GNU/Linux works.</li>
<li>will be proficient with a shell (Bash, ZSH, TCSH, etc).</li>
<li>understands webservers (Apache, Lighttpd), MySQL, Postfix.</li>
<li>can write code. Although this is not a programmer position, we are looking for people who are really into computing science. </li>

<p>Other desirable experiences:</p>

<ul>
<li>Have experience in mass automated deployments of *nix servers.</li>
<li>Experience in large IT operations management is highly regarded.</li>

<p>To sum it up, we are looking for an enthusiastic geek, who's into computing, and looking for an opportunity to learn more. Our company is conducting a server and systems deployment for a global audience, and at the same time, looking into experimenting with Sun based servers. This is where the candidate fits in.</p>
