Systems Administrator, Full Time

Mail Call Couriers is Sydney's largest independent courier company. Linux forms a crucial part of Mail Call's IT infrastructure.

Mail Call has an opening for a Linux Systems Administrator. The right person will have a combination of skills; Linux installation, configuration and support; programming in C, Perl, PHP and the shell; TCP/IP networking and 
PC hardware knowledge. Familiarity with Apache HTTPD and Postgresql database configuration is required. The successful candidate will also be
comfortable configuring iptables based firewalls, DNS, NFS, and Samba.

Duties will include design of new systems and networks, troubleshooting, technical support
and general systems administration tasks. Program design and debugging is also a part of the role. Good organising skills and a committed approach to documentation is a plus.

Mail Call is a fast moving and demanding IT environment, but will provide a rewarding experience for the right person.

A Bachelor's degree in IT, Science or Engineering is preferred. Recent graduates are encouraged to apply.
