Byron Media is an established Internet publishing group based in Chatswood.

Byron is currently seeking the services of a Linux Programmer / Administrator to undertake a number of stand-alone projects to support the company's various websites and associated infrastructure.  Working hours and arrangements are flexible, and the role would suit someone with five to twenty hours available per week. The ideal candidate would have well developed skills in the following areas:

<li>Linux programming and administration</li>
<li>PERL</li>
<li>HTML and Web programming</li>
<li>Database design and administration</li>
<p>
Experience and skills in the following areas would also be well regarded:
<p>
<li>Windows 2000 Server</li>
<li>Microsoft SQL Server</li>
<li>XML</li>
<li>PHP</li>
<li>Open source Content Management Systems</li>
<p>

This position would suit an individual who can work independently and use online resources and personal networks to rapidly resolve issues as they arise.
