Programmer, Full Time

Bull Media requires two highly skilled programmer to assist us in developing a number of our existing and new products.

One position is required for immediate start, the other position will start no later than the third week of October.

Our main systems are based in object oriented PHP5, however we develop with a diverse range of languages including Java, Perl and RealBASIC.

We require someone who has:

  * the ability to code well under pressure
  * a clear understanding of object oriented programming concepts
  * an understanding of PHP5, PostgreSQL and/or MySQL

Skills that would be useful include:

  * PHP5, Perl or Java experience
  * Experience with TAL (PHP Tal or TAL in its original Zope/Python
    based container)
  * Conversant with SQL including subselects, triggers and/or PL/SQL
  * SOAP/XML-RPC
  * JavaScript
  * PHP Smarty knowledge

The first interview will be a short (1 1/2 hour) test covering:

  * Object oriented concepts
  * PHP Tal
  * Basic CSS skills

...and a short interview with me. If the programming team is confident we can recommend you, the next interview will be with the business manager.
