Network Software Engineer, Full Time

TransACT Communications has a placement for a fulltime software development specialist relating to networks.  The job description follows:

Network Software Engineer

TransACT is the largest triple play and the only quadruple play provider in the Australian telecommunications market.  We are looking for someone to help in our small team of professionals to provide software integration solutions for our network systems.

The successful applicant will have an appropriate tertiary qualification and a range of experience in network software development. You will be remunerated with a very competitive package and be provided an excellent work environment.

Ideally you will have 2+ years experience including but not limited to the following areas:

*       Network Provisioning Systems
*       An instinctive knowledge of Perl and Python
*       Excellent knowledge of web technologies (CGI/Portals/XML-RPC)
*       Good knowledge of programming with MySQL databases
*       Extensive use of open-source tools
*       Familiarity with SNMP and TCP/IP and related protocols
