Platform Support Technician, Full Time

<H1>Description</H1>

We require a Platform Support Technician, who has experience with Linux & SQL environments. Specifically with Debian and MySQL.

<H2>Roles & Responsibilities</H2>

<H3>Primary</H3>
<UL>
<LI>Assist the Support Department in the timely resolution of Product Support issues</LI>
<LI>Assist the Development Department in the acquistion of data for Product Support issues</LI>
<LI>Provide regular reports to the Operations Manager regarding Product Support issues</LI>
<LI>Tracking of issues using our on-line trouble ticketing system</LI>
<LI>Documentation of issues using our on-line documentation system</LI>
</UL>

<H3>Secondary</H3>
<UL>
<LI>Assist the Systems Admistrators in the day-to-day operations of the Dot Communications systems</LI>
</UL>

<H2>Skills &amp; Experience</H2>

<H3>Required</H3>
<UL>
<LI>SQL DB</LI>
<LI>UNIX/Linux environments</LI>
<LI>1-2 years technical experience in an ISP environment, prefferably in a technical support role</LI>
</UL>

<H3>Desired</H3>
<UL>
<LI>MySQL DB</LI>
<LI>Java, J2EE, JMS</LI>
<LI>JBoss</LI>
<LI>Experience using trouble ticketing systems, such as Jira</LI>
<LI>Experience using Wiki based documenting, such as Confluence</LI>
</UL>
