Programmer, Contract

The focus of this job will be 80% PHP development on a Linux platform against PostgreSQL.

Tasks will vary from developing simple reporting systems through to more complex applications focusing on delivery of content in a variety of formats (Web, email, XML, etc) as well as centralising data from a variety of sources into a PostgreSQL database.

Other responsibilities include monitoring of 5 Red Hat Linux servers, patching of those servers and the software running on top of them -- all of which is open source.

Applicants should have extensive *commercial* experience with PHP and programming in general. Knowledge of PostgreSQL, Linux, CVS, Apache a must.

The successful applicant must be able to demonstrate a history of meeting deadlines, managing work on multiple concurrent projects and working independently.
