Dear Elena

Django Girls Canberra #1 - Elena Williams

Mindful of the short leadtime for the proposed event, the Linux Australia
Council held a preliminary discussion about this grant application at its
meeting on 21 June 2023. The comprehensive application clearly explained
all aspects of the event, who the organisers were and how the funding would
be used. Council noted the positive feedback received about the proposal on
the Grants list and how well the proposal fitted with the Community Grant
concept. It was unanimously resolved to approve the grant request subject
to further community comments if any were received before the closing of the
consultation period.

The community consultation for this grant has now closed with no further
comments received. We are therefore pleased to inform you that the grant
application has been approved - congratulations!

The grant is to cover the expenses as outlined in the original grant
application[1]. Please email the Linux Australia treasurer
(treasurer at linux.org.au) to arrange the required payments.

As outlined in the grant guidelines, Linux Australia request that you
provide a brief report about the event funded by this grant for inclusion in
our Annual Report. We ask that this be sent via email to
council at linux.org.au by the end of November to allow sufficient time for its
incorporation into the report. The grant application indicated that it is
planned to have photographs taken at the event, and it would be great if
some of these could be included in your report (subject to photographic
consents).

If you have further questions feel free to contact myself or any
member of the Linux Australia Council.

Jonathan Woithe
(on behalf of Linux Australia)
