[Cbsupport] kppp daemon died

i hope that u can help me with the configuration of internet for red hat 8.0.  i had read the modem-dialup-nt-how-to to try to configure my internet at red hat n i am using an external modem. it seems that red hat is able to detect my modem n when i tried to connect i was told pppd daemon died. any idea wat is it?or is there any other methods to configure the internet connection for red hat?
